Homemade chicken pot pie

This is one of our favorite recipes. I cook the chicken on the stove (I add a little Italian seasoning). Put a couple of cut up potatoes, two stalks of celery, a handful of baby carrots, and a handful of peas in a glass dish with some salt and pepper, and pats of butter, in the microwave for ten minutes. I mix up about a half stick of butter, 1/2 cup of cream, 1/2 cup of chicken broth, and about a tablespoon of flour. Heat this well until it gets barely thickened. I use pillsbury rolled pie crusts. Layer the chicken first, then the veggies, and top with the cream mixture. Top with another crust, then bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Delish! Before baking....

Then out of the oven....

I always decorate the top with three leaves from the leftover pie crust. Supper tonight!
