Chevron Owl Quilt

Baby Emma's first quilt from Grandmama is finished!

I used minkee for the backing. First time I've tried it. It is so very soft and not too bad to quilt. I quilted it using the Halcyon pantograph.

I used the half square triangle technique for the chevrons and free handed the owl appliqué.

I love this quilt!! :) What size did you make your triangle squares? The fabrics are perfect in this. :)

Thank you! I cut my squares 5 1/2" then used 8 half square triangles by 9 half square triangle blocks. It turned out about 41 x 45.
