Canning Beans


Jim kept saying, "we'll be glad this winter".....while we were breaking green beans for 2 1/2 hours last night. I know why so few people can anymore. It takes too long!! I started about 12:30 this afternoon, it is now 6:15 and I've only got 14 quarts done. I have 14 more to do!! Seven of them are in the canner trying to build up pressure. It takes about 2 1/2 hours to just do 7! Long night ahead....

are you using boiling water to pour over your beans?????that will help speed up the process,,,,they sure will be good though, and you can never go wrong with homegrown,,,,
