Variegated thread

I am trying something new on the Star Spangled Picnic quilt. I am using baguette thread on the top, and using a variegated red, white, and blue thread on the backing. I use solid cream or white backings a lot in my quilting, mainly because they come in wide widths which means I don't have to piece the back. I just finished one row with the different threads and I think I am going to like it.

I am using the Halycon pantograph by Lorien Quilting.

It is an unusual time in my quilting studio right now. I am working on three projects at once!
