Finished up the remembrance quilt today, with the exception of the label. This one turned out fine even though I was a bit worried. Several of the shirts must have been a rayon type fabric. They frayed and stretched a bit. The recipient isn't a quilter and it is made from her late husband's shirts so I don't think she will mind if it isn't exactly square.
Just beautiful. What a great remembrance quilt pattern to show the fabrics and tie all of them together with the black/white four patches. A great Bonnie Hunter pattern.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy. This is my favorite pattern to use for remembrance quilts.
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job. Very good pattern for this type of quilt.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat pattern. So much better than just plain patchwork. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThant's a great idea for a remembrance/memory quilt. Your friend will love it, and be able to wrap herself up in a quilt made from her DH's shirts.
ReplyDeleteI've just finished a memory quilt for a friend, using mainly tee shirts, and I'm pleased with how it turned out.
Do pop over and have a look at my blog.
