Find "Waldo" ??

Does anyone remember "Where's Waldo"....well, see if you can find my boo-boo on this table runner. I didn't notice it until I had already started machine quilting it. I was trying to decide whether to keep it or use it as a gift. Guess that is settled. Oh well, it will be our novelty table runner. Jim couldn't see the boo-boo until I showed it to him. I will still use it. Now it is very "unique".

Quilting

The backing is a simple bleached muslin, and the quilting shows up so well!

Heritage Quilt

I picked up my Heritage Quilt today. I was amazed at the quilting. It was done by a lady in Clarkrange. I think it is absolutely beautiful. I plan to paint my bedroom this week, so I am going to put it in there, and maybe make some window toppers to match. I'll keep it there for the summer. I am thinking about changing out the toppers by the season, to match whatever quilt I have on the bed. The toppers are so easy to make, and I should be able to find a good price on fabric at Short Sheets in Crossville.

Attic Window - redone

I ended up cutting up the attic window quilt and putting it together in the traditional method, rather than on point. The back of it is a mess! But I managed to salvage the front and actually like it. I'm not sure where I will put it.

Attic Window - wallhanging??

What started on a whim, has turned into some kind of wallhanging, I think... I know the shape is kind of wierd, but still, it is exciting to be creating something on my own. I wanted the blocks to be on point, but had a difficult time creating a suitable shape, so what I ended up with is, well,...different. I am not finished machine quilting it, so it also lacks the binding. I am trying the stitch around the flowers.

Tablerunners

These are the two tablerunners I made last weekend. I tried to do small stippling inside the white stars on the pink one. I really liked the way it turned out. I wished I had done that on both. Both used charm pack squares. The squares on the blue one was from Thimbleberries Lakeside collection and they were a bit bigger (~5 1/2 inches), so it turned out a little bigger. The pink one is for a wedding gift and the blue one is a gift for our department secretary at work. I missed Secretary's Day, so it is a belated gift!
